Wales Building Two, Wales, Ontario, Canada

Wales Building Two | N 45.00.32 W 74.55.01 | Wales, Ontario, Canada

The crumbling concrete floor and foundation of a building in a few feet of water in Wales, Ontario. These are likely the remains of an old chicken farm and being so close to the surface they have been subject to wave erosion and 60 plus years freezing and thawing each winter.

Once known as Dickinson’s Landing Station, and renamed after a whistle-stop visit by the Prince of Wales in 1860, Wales was originally founded by Loyalists fleeing the American Revolution in the late 1700s.
