Artist Talk at the Marianne van Silfhout Gallery
The last formal, public event for the Sunken Villages exhibition was held on Tuesday Oct 22, 2013 at the Marianne van Silfhout Gallery at St Lawrence College in Brockville, Ontario, Canada.
Louis Helbig gave a short talk about the Sunken Villages project to an audience of 75, answering questions about the exhibition and future plans for the project. A number of the interviewees – people affected by the disappearance of their communities 60 years ago – were in attendance.
The talk included an audio/visual presentation premiered at the gallery in September and then presented at the National Gallery of Canada on October 2 and 3rd, 2013.
